ROADMs

JDSU provides the broadest portfolio of ROADM solutions designed to match the requirements of major market segments. They are the building blocks of agile optical networks, and provide the flexibility to remotely reconfigure wavelengths, reducing time-to-service, simplifying the network, and streamlining planning and management. The result is significant potential for OpEx and CapEx reductions and faster time to revenue. ROADMs also enable the cost-effective creation and deployment of more complex network architectures.

The flexibility enabled by JDSU's transponders is critical to the successful and rapid deployment of next generation, IP-based voice, data and video services which are driving new network management challenges for communications service providers. Optical Amplifiers

JDSU's Optical Amplifiers respond dynamically to accommodate changes in number of wavelengths or signal powers using advanced transient suppression techniques. As a result, they preserve gain, flatness and output power over a wide range of input conditions to meet the needs of reconfigurable optical networks.

Optical Components

The JDSU Optical Components family includes modulators, switches, attenuators and tunable filters. These products provide the basis for spectrally efficient DWDM transmission utilizing dispersion tolerant modulation, channel monitoring, wavelength switching, remote power control and dynamic channel selection. They support a wide range of flexible functionalities at lower operational expenses for the Agile Optical Network.
